My signature Microgold treatment involves a micro-channeling device that assists with plumping and rejuvenating the skin. This device also allows you to apply products like hyaluronic acid or BOTOX through the device in order to address certain skin problems. The Microgold treatment is the perfect complimentary treatment to other in-office procedures such as BOTOX, lasers and fillers.

What is MicroGold?

Designed to painlessly and effectively deliver bioactive compounds into the skin, avoiding common complications associated with traditional techniques. The Microgold treatment has the proven ability to deliver the desired amount of drug or biologic, just under the dermis, at a consistent depth, pain-free, and over a large surface area.  This is a major advantage over the conventional syringe approach.

There is no pain, no bleeding, no micro-tears in the skin and no downtime after the procedure.

Unlike the microneedling pen, this treatment requires no numbing and is usually painless. The purpose of the Microgold treatment is to micro channel and deliver treatments directly to the skin. The purpose of other common microneedle devices is to puncture the skin for stimulation. This treatment takes the traditional microneedling process to another level by simultaneously addressing common concerns like dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.

How Does MicroGold Work?

The device uses a vial that has 20 patented microchanneling needles, each thinner than a human hair. The microneedles are 600 micrometers (0.6 mm) long and 130 micrometers (0.13 mm) wide.

Surgical-grade stainless steel provides the microneedle's structural integrity. Pure gold is highly biocompatible with human skin, helping prevent irritation and allergic reactions after use. Impurities and other metals may result in unnecessary irritation.

A new device is used for each patient and is never reused. The procedure can be performed anywhere on the face, neck, and chest and is used to treat signs of aging, including wrinkles, dark spots, and other skin damage.

Is MicroGold Painful?

This procedure is almost completely painless. Most patients don’t require any numbing at all. However, for patients with extremely low tolerance for pain, numbing can be requested. This procedure takes less than 30 minutes.

You can go back to work or life as usual immediately following the treatment. There may be some minor redness but it will go away within a few hours.

What Products can be Used in Conjunction With Microgold?

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a soft, gel-like substance that absorbs water and brings deep skin hydration to the treated areas, giving it improved firmness, elasticity and smoothness. Treatable areas: face, neck, chest and hands.

BOTOX

BOTOX applied into the dermis (not the muscle) helps shrink pore openings*. Treatable area: face.

*This is the only recognized treatment that has an actual physical effect on pore size.

Growth factors

Growth factors stimulate the skin for improved healing after laser and help maintain collagen levels. Treatable areas: face, neck, chest.

Pigment reducers

Pigment reducers prohibit the melanin response. Combined with sunblock and sunscreen, discoloration is reduced. Treatable areas: face, neck, chest, arms and hands.

Dermal fillers

Filler applied to the dermis of the lips can give a subtle plump; this is perfect for patients who are not ready to commit to injectable filler but want to improve their pout.

When can I See Results? How Long Does it Last?

Results are at their peak two weeks after the treatment is completed. However, you will start to see results after about one week.

While the collagen regeneration that is produced as a result of the treatment is permanent, your body will continue to degrade its collagen. As a result, we recommend a series of at least 6 sessions, with maintenance sessions every few months, in order to maintain results. However, this can be used as a one time treatment by individuals who want glowing skin for an upcoming event.

What Should I Expect After Microgold?

You should avoid touching your face for the rest of the day after treatment. Although there are no visible wounds on your face, the process does still involve puncturing your face with tiny fine needles and therefore you want to treat it as if there is an open wound on your face by keeping the face clean.
